The Colours of Your Logo

This has been a really popular infographic online the last month.

If you have studied any consumer behaviour classes you will have learned that there is more to a brand’s colour that looking good. When discussing the colour psychology in logo design, McDonalds is often used as an example. To sum up their brand in colour, their brand is made to make you hungry/thirsty, but not want to stay long.

In today’s post we wanted to discuss a bit of the psychology behind our logo design :

Blue is a calming colour that is widely used across many logo designs. We chose to go with a light & medium blue in our logo. Some descriptive words that for our brands colour; success, loyalty, calm, and confidence.

We also opted to use white text with a black background to help make the colours of our logo pop. White is said to represent: cleanliness, truthfulness, simplicity, and purity. Black is said to be the foundation of many logos, representing: bold, classic, tradition, serious, and formality.
