Yahoo’s SEO Steps Down After 4 Short Months

4 Months into his new position, Scott Thompson has stepped down. Reports say it was due to a college degree listed in his Bio that was never really obtained.
Yahoo is now being called a troubled internet company they quickly reassured restless shareholders that their latest 4-month long SEO was not a waste of time. During the past 5 years, Yahoo has gone through 4 full-time CEO’s due to various reasons.
“Yahoo has been floundering for years and it looks like there is going to be at least several more months of indirection now that another CEO is coming in,” said Adam Hanft, a brand reputation and crisis management consultant.
This recent incident with Yahoo seems to be nothing more than an error of information initially until employees, shareholders and critics because upset with Yahoo, reminding the company of their corporate governances and Thompson soon stepped down.
I am interested to see where Yahoo will be in 4 months from now and how this will affect their advertising? I wonder if they will release a round of advertisments addressing this issue with the public. What do you think?
