You may remember from last year, Maple Leaf launched a new Larsen Wiener recipe, but due to changes in their recipe many consumers were left unhappy. Consumers even expressed their displeasure towards the new recipe on such social networking sites as Facebook and Twitter.
This year, Maple Leaf has chosen to bring back the classic Larsen Wiener recipe, and in an effort to spread the word to consumers, have launched their latest advertising campaign addressing consumers directly. A series of online commercials will roll out over the next few weeks, with quite the creative concept behind them. Maple Leaf has chosen to create a parody, using news anchors to report wiener-related news on the Wiener News Network (WNN).
